Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Adjusted my current plan and issued credit for previous overages.
Repeating multi day outages.
Unable to reach tech support or customer service. Seems to happen every month, and for sure when it rains.

Do not do business with Rise!
This company is trash. The internet service is dial up at best and their customer service is TRASH!
We canceled our service 10 days into the month in advance billing cycle, they refuse to prorate the bill and expect us to pay for service AFTER we canceled. There is no contract or anything.
This company is STEALING! Dont waste your time or cause yourself undue stress!

Equipment failure
Equipment fell off the building due to improper installation. Contacted Rise Broadband; after 2 hours a rep got on the phone.
45 minutes later, she said that they do not have a tech in the area and did not know when one will be available.
Think twice before you decide to use this service. Also, I work from home.

Horrible Outdated Customer Service Practices
I am so sick of dealing this internet service provider. Any time there is an issue with service it is absolutely the most frustrating and drawn out process.
I just called back on an issue with an existing case number and had to stay with Tier One service reliving the first call on the issue that lasted about 2 hours. Only for him to put me on hold for a long time, come back with a tier 2 servicer who I couldnt speak to directly and basically he asked me to start over through a relay with the Tier 1 guy.
How can a business think this is good customer service? Im stuck with them though as I live in the mountains and there arent a lot of options.

I LOVE my Rise Broadband BUT./
The phone customer Service is RIDICULOUS! I would give 2 stars based upon that if I could.
My neighbor gave glowing reviews for Rise and I WOULD NOT have even CONSIDERED changing to Rise without his recommendation.
So, I think he should get the referral credit.
We have done everything to get it and it has NOT been posted. Every time I call to check on it I am told something different that needs to be done.

Horrible customer service experience
We have been a customer since around 2015-16. I called in today to set up a new email address on my broadband acct.
apparently no one has heard of this! I started with cust svc, he told me, he would have to call me back to transfer me to the correct dept ?! That dept said no, not them, with no notice Im transferred again! So I tried tech support for email, nope he said I need sales ?!
He nicely worked with that dept while I was on hold. Everything was supposed to be done and ready to go, I got a temp password. We hung up, my first mistake. I tried to login I get an error message incorrect email or password.
I call back, Im told I need to give it 2 hrs! Ive now been trying to do this for 3 hrs now unbelievable!!!!! A internet providers cust svc people that dont know what it means to want to set up a email address and no dept apparently does this!!! I have never experienced this, I have talked to the tech support dept and had techs at our home and they have been great but these other depts WOW plus they all acted like they didnt even want to help, just wanted off the phone.
They are going to cause people to switch providers!! Im thinking its time to start looking !!!

Resolved: Poor signal, poor service
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. I finally was able to talk to a very nice representative.
She was not satisfied with the answers that I was given and didn't want to lose me as a customer. She had them replace all of my equipment and even gave me a new upgraded router, 3 months free. They cleared a monthly bill.
It's working so much better and as if now, my issue is resolved. Thank you Nicole!!.
One rep said equipment on tower could have been updated or moved. Another says it could be trees. It worked in January and gone in February! They won't give me an honest answer as to what happened.
Oh but they will offer me a discount price for no service. Something happened and I want answers!
I'm only approximately a mile from the tower. I will report this to the BBB.

We scheduled a visit with tech support on Saturday Feb 26th for an internet outage They cannot come out until THURSDAY MARCH 3rd. Ridiculous. Will be researching other providers.

1. In an age when the majority of people rely on internet connection for myriad necessities, why do you allow such crippling congestion on your towers?

Are you doing anything to fix congestion?
3. Why does your website make it impossible for me to access basic information or make account changes?
4. Why doesn't the PDF copy of my bill show which plan I'm on? (Is it possible you don't want your customers to be reminded how badly they're being screwed out of their hard-earned money?)

As a major ISP spanning across many states, why do you not offer 27/7 technical support? Furthermore, why does your regular customer service close so early? (5:00 PM PST)
6. What measures do you take to protect sensitive customer information (name, address, phone, SSN, credit card numbers) from online security breaches?

When a customer pays for 100 Mbps download speed, but can only pull a FRACTION of a single megabit per second during peak afternoon and evening hours, what does that say about the condition of your network?
8. All businesses exist for profit, but the good ones find some sort of sweet spot between quality service and profitability. Given the poor state of your network, and your unwillingness to address rudimentary issues which seem to pervade the very marrow of your company, how would you describe your priorities?

Why should anyone give a single penny to a company as dysfunctional and poorly executed as yours?
10. What would you do in the face of a large, well-organized class action lawsuit armed with meticulous documentation of your borderline fraudulent practices?

Terrible customer service
After I cancelled my service another bill arrived. I called and was assured I didnt owe anything and it came out by mistake.
Months later I received a collection notice. After an hour getting nowhere with an agent I asked for a supervisor. After 20 minutes I was told someone would call me back. Reluctantly I agreed knowing very well nobody would be calling.
Called again today and was told the same thing. Absolutely ridiculous!

We got it resolved satisfactory. Thank you so much for getting it done so promptly. We are rescheduled for an earlier date.
Last minute Reschedule after waiting for a week
I scheduled for service a week before moving and all of a sudden the technician is sick. Now it's on Thursday and I've patiently waited until today (Monday) having to wait for another 3 days without internet (Total 2 weeks).
This is *** if my internet connection is gonna be slow when it gets here Thursday. Don't get me wrong, I like Rise but this last minute scheduling is unacceptable because all you're doing is toying with my work schedule.

No internet
I have been without Internet for a month! They were supposed to call me when they couldnt get out in over two weeks for my first service call they never called and they showed up and just left then they scheduled another one I was waiting all morning and they showed up no call which I specifically asked them to do they said they fixed it it worked for two minutes they left its not working I need a rebate a full refund for a month maybe a month and a half I have lost work over this I have lost business over this I have not been able to print and your lack of customer service is atrocious

We have basically not had internet for the past TWO MONTHS once school got out for the summer. The best speeds possible right now at 2am is 1~2mbps.
From 6am till about 10pm it is unusable. We get 0~100Kbps during this time. Can't even check e-mail. We pay $100 a month for dial up.......IN 2021!
THIS IS CRIMINAL, we have no other viable options in our area which is not in the mountains by any means We call rise broadband all the time just to let them know, hey, it's been MONTHS WITH NO SERVICE WTF. We get the same excuse that they are having tower problems.
FIX IT SOON. I'm getting tired of sending the FCC my experience with these criminals.

Throttled, cant even check email
They throttle us into oblivion. we use less than half the average American uses in data.
5g fixed wireless is coming to our rural area via t-mobile later this year. it is a no-brainer. costs less and unlike this scummy monopoly rise, they do not have a data cap on speed.
rise has throttled us all summer long to less than 1mps. we are lucky to get anything over that, even at 2am.
