I filed a FOIA request with the FCC asking how many official complaints had been filed against Rise Broadband. As of February 2018 it was 416. I plan to file another request asking how an investigation is triggered. Is their a formula that at some point flags a company...?
Rise received a $3 million+ grant from the FCC to "bring internet to under served rural areas" and they just filed for a future grant of $14 million.

And good luck cancelling your account. They put you on hold and leave you there for hours- nobody ever comes back on the line.
There were over 3000 complaint comments on their Facebook page but of course they deleted them and continue to delete negative commentary.
I wish someone would file a class action suit. I've not been able to find an attorney willing to take them on.
