They would only credit my next bill NO REFUND....

I have had Risebroad Band since they took over from Digis Internet service. Originally it was Wave Direct (they were GREAT) with the 10 mbps & unlimited download which transferred over to Digis but not with Risebroad Band, since we had a contract that was grandfathered in the best they could give us is 5 mbps but I was only getting 3 - 4 mbps which I didn't know until they billed me an additional $5.00 a month for a statement which I choose not to (I always had my statement sent e-mail) I called customer service & they assured me that they would take it off my bill.

Well they didn't, I called again & again they gave me the same response. So, I just didn't pay it, Well they disconnected me & charged me $30.00. My husband called & talked to customer service, they said if we went on auto pay they would wave the $30.00 & draft our account every month for $56.00 well they drafted our account but for $86.00. My husband called talk to customer service, my husband asked what right do you have to take $86.00 out of our checking account when your only authorized to take $56.00 THAT'S THEFT !!!!

customer service reply O it's a billing error. My husband ask for a refund customer service said the best they can do is to credit our checking account. My husband said he customer service to send an e-mail confirming that (which he did) & also stopped the auto pay. Since Risebroad Band took over our internet is awful.

There ok until they caught not giving the service you signed up for than it's a spiral down hill from there. If your getting good service hats off to you but check the mbps you may not be getting what you paid for.

If you thinking about getting Risebroad Band DON'T.... My husband and I are looking into another internet service..

Reason of review: pretty much all the above.

Rise Broadband Cons: Slow download speeds.

I wont even begin to go over the problems with Rise Broadband. From Installation to the Disconnect this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Stay away if you can. I didn't have a choice until another provider built in our neighborhood.

I ran away from Rise Broadband as fast as I could. I am not sure how they can remain in business

We (Bryan, Texas) have had Rise for over a year now on the 15/3 package (small business) and we have little to no issues. a couple of speed glitches that corrected within the hour.

with 5 users and a security system running that alerts when down.

I have had as good an up-time as my old Verizon/Frontier system.

not sure what your issues are but I am scratching my head and asking hmm?

The problem is we signed up for auto draft payment, Risebroad took double the payment which is fraud when I ask to give me a refund Risebroad stated that they don't do refunds which didn't help me since I live on a budget so on that note I had to rob peter to pay paul to pay my bills that month plus the original contract we had with another carrier - before Risebroad brought the company we had 10 mega Hz with unlimited up and download. When Risebroad took over they didn't offer that so now I'm suppose to getting 5 mega Hz.

I'm lucky if I get 4. Up n downloads are very slow. Plus I signed up for no paper statement which Risebroad over looked and where sending me statements and charging me monthly for that.

When I called customer service they said it would be fixed but never was n kept disconnecting me for the nonpayment for thr statement fee that was never fixed plus reconnection fee. Hmmm I really don't think this is good service and many people would put up with it.
